6.4.22

My first conversation with Joyce and Bretty was in 2019 when they booked me for their wedding in the summer of 2020. We all know what happened there… So, we were then scheduled for 2021. And once again, we all know how that went. Finally, we were all able to meet and celebrate in person in the summer of 2022. We joke that after 3 years, we’re actually just friends now instead of simply vendors/clients, and that honestly feels so true. Joyce and Bretty are so intentional, kind, and genuine in their interactions with every person they come in contact with, and it was so fun to watch them from a distance over the past 3 years in preparation for their wedding. All of these perceptions of them were confirmed over the wedding weekend. It was so obvious these two had such a powerful impact on every one of their friends and family there. They were willing to travel from all over the country (and the world, honestly) to spend a weekend in the woods of Bainbridge Island celebrating two people who mean so very much to them. Their story, their personalities, all their wonderful family and friends made everything about capturing their wedding a dream. It’s such a pleasure to be able to call them friends and an absolute honor to have the chance to tell their story through film.
